Happy New Year!
Here is a wonderful selection of students work from the last term. The next course will be starting shortly - for further details please see below.
4wk art course 'Reflections and Refractions' starting on the Friday 23rd January,
10 to 12.30pm, at Northwood Village Hall, £80.
This is an opportunity to paint the way light bounces off objects to create reflections in clear bodies of water - lakes, swimming pools, rock pools, rivers and streams, the ocean, ice fields, etc or you could paint refractions - the bending of light - for example - the way a body becomes distorted when you look at it in a swimming pool or a drinking straw in a glass of water etc.
4wk art course 'Winterscapes Near and Far' starting on the Thursday 22nd January, 9.45 to 12.15, at Bembridge Village Hall, £75.
This is an opportunity to paint the subtle changes of colour in the cold wintery world around us.
You could paint a low sunlit scene in the Lake District, a foggy/misty scene, a frosty morn with its bare trees and eerie silence, a winter beach/seascape, mountainous areas such as the Alps or the Rockies with its log cabins, figures ice skating or ice fishing to a simple snow scene. (please feel free to paint something else if you wish).
