Upcoming Autumn Courses and Painting Churches

Unfinished acrylic painting by Geoff 2018

The last four week course of the academic year was held at All Saints Church Hall in Ryde. The course was called Painting Churches, Abbeys and Cathedrals.  Some Learners opted to do inside scenes whilst others chose to concentrate on the exteriors.  As you will see all the paintings are very successful and they range from impressionistic paintings, to abstract and experimental to very tight detailed depictions.

(open medium - oils, acrylics, watercolour, gouache & pastels)
Starting Friday 20th April, 10:00 to 12:30pm, Northwood W.I.Hall, £70 cash.

Some of the topics covered - Looking at famous lighthouse paintings and artists, creating a sense of scale and proportion, aspects of perspective (3 point) and the basics of mixing sea and sky colours.

If you would like to join this exciting course please use the blog contact form.  The course is also available as a one-to-one course.  More art courses will follow in May including classes at Bembridge.
